Our Company History

FLIC Luminaries began in 2000, when a group of neighbors came together with an idea for a better luminaria. Tired of the limitations of traditional paper bags, they designed and built the first injection mold for a durable, reusable plastic luminary.

In 2003, the product was introduced to the public through the Flicker Luminary Improvement Company, LLC, and FLIC Luminaries began selling online. What started as a neighborhood idea had become a new approach to a centuries-old holiday tradition.

In 2014, FLIC Luminaries changed ownership with a renewed focus on expanding the possibilities of luminaries and luminarias. Since then, we have continued developing new designs, lighting options and accessories for homes, neighborhoods, HOAs, businesses and special events across the country.

FLIC Luminaries is the only U.S. manufacturer of durable, reusable plastic luminarias. We're also proudly operated by a team of senior citizens who bring decades of experience to our small American company.
